17% Hydroxy Acid Blend

Lactic acid (AHA)
A natural and biocompatible exfoliant for effective removal of epidermal dead skin cells while also supporting hydration and maintaining a low irritation profile.

Salicylic acid (BHA)
An oil-loving beta hydroxy acid that works on the uppermost layers of the skin and within pores. Ideal for blemish-prone skin, it helps exfoliate and remove dead skin cells and debris trapped within congested pores.

Malic acid (AHA)
A powerful antioxidant and humectant with hydrating properties that leaves a protective moisturising layer on the skin. It is also an oil-loving hydroxy acid.

Barosma betulina (buchu) leaf extract
A plant-based ingredient that helps reduce the appearance of excess shine and enlarged pores. It has been tested to visibly reduce the appearance of pore diameter, pore volume and surface oil.

Australian melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil
Australian tea tree oil offers naturally derived purifying, balancing and soothing properties to support blemish-prone skin.

Manuka oil
A potent purifying botanical traditionally used to support compromised skin.

Liquorice extract
A soothing botanical that helps calm the appearance of redness while supporting a more even-looking complexion.

I formulated Blem-X as an effective targeted treatment for blemishes and visible congestion. This blend helps address excess skin cell build-up, visible oiliness, congestion and the appearance of redness. Salicylic acid deeply exfoliates pores while AHAs refine uneven skin texture. I’ve also included purifying botanicals, balancing ingredients and soothing extracts to support clearer-looking skin.
