Corundum: clinical grade aluminium oxide crystals
Mineral corundum crystals are non-toxic to skin, eco-friendly and almost identical to sapphire, one of the hardest known mineral materials (second only to diamond), making corundum ideal for exfoliating the top layer of facial skin to remove dead cells and unblock pores.

Proprietary surfactant blend (sodium cocoamphoacetate, lauryl glucoside, sodium cocoyl glutamate, sodium lauryl glucose carboxylate)
A proprietary blend of gentle surfactants to remove make up and surface grime. This blend is designed to thoroughly cleanse without drying the skin, adversely affecting the delicate barrier function, or stripping the naturally protective barrier oils. This surfactant system is a great alternative to harsher cleansing agents such as those containing sulphates.

Lipid Layer Enhancer Complex (Coco-Glucoside and Glyceryl Oleate)
These bioidentical lipids also naturally occur in human skin to create an intensive moisturising and skin-softening sensation, ideal for dry and sensitive skin. The perfect partner to support the delicate barrier in surfactant-based products. This Clean Science ingredient leaves the skin feeling more hydrated after cleansing. Derived from coconut and sunflower oils, this ‘lipid layer enhancer’ will strengthen the skin barrier function. Clinical studies show a 77% improvement of moisture in the stratum corneum 24 hours post use.

Aloe Vera concentrate
A powerful anti-inflammatory that promotes healing and moisturises the skin.

Lycopene (hydrolysed tomato skin)
An antioxidant to combat solar and pollution-based free radical damage.

Sodium PCA
A humectant and powerful skin hydrator which attracts and binds water to the upper layers of the skin. Sodium PCA protects the barrier and acid mantle while helping to reduce inflammation, roughness, redness, and itching.

I formulated MediScrub with mineral corundum crystals, the same material used in clinical microdermabrasion machines, which are also almost chemically identical to sapphire. This physical scrub mechanically exfoliates the dull surface layer of skin and instantly removes blackheads to reveal a smoother and brighter complexion. This scrub is 100% free from plastic microbeads as part of my Clean Science commitment.
